Adolescent and Adult Sexual Assault Assessment – Bundle
SANE/SAFE Forensic Learning Series

The Adolescent and Adult Sexual Assault Assessment Bundle gives readers an opportunity to learn, apply, and demonstrate competency in sexual assault evaluations of adolescents and adults. These workbooks each include an anatomical review, in-depth case studies, and questions that test the comprehension of overall content.

Upon completion of these workbooks, sexual assault examiners will have demonstrated their ability to accurately evaluate increasingly complex abuse and assault cases that span a wide range of scenarios, patient histories, and medical and cultural considerations. This progressive learning approach makes the series a valuable resource for trainees, early-stage practitioners, seasoned examiners, and instructors who need tools to evaluate competency in adolescent and adult sexual assault care.

The SANE/SAFE Forensic Learning Series is an ideal education tool that reinforces what has been learned in the SANE-A course as well as an excellent review for forensic examiners of all levels. The case studies, along with the color photos, challenge the examiner’s evidence-based critical thinking and assessment skills. The use of photos rather than drawings further aids the examiner in developing their knowledge and skills related to the medical-forensic examination. Additionally, the inclusion of normal anatomical variations, evidence collection, recommended treatments, and patient education further enhances the learning experience. I highly recommend these books for medical professionals of all levels who care for sexual assault patients.
