Q. How do I know which publication is for me? How do I know whether one book covers the same information as another?
A. Go to the Books & Media section of the site for overviews of each product. Each of our hardback titles examines a specific aspect of child abuse and neglect, so there generally is very little overlap of information.
Q. Does STM Learning publish on topics other than child maltreatment?
A. Yes. We also have published books on adult sexual assault and intimate partner violence, and are continuing to expand our list of titles to address other forms of child, adult, and family maltreatment. Q. What kind of educational and training materials do you have?
A. Our current training curricula include Physical Abuse and Neglect: A Training Curriculum, which is approved for AMA PRA Category I™ and Continuing Nursing Education credits through Saint Louis University. Additional training guides are currently in production, including sessions for child sexual abuse, and adolescent and adult sexual assault. Also, all of our books can be adapted by teachers and instructors for use in training sessions.
Q. Why did you change your company name to STM Learning?
A. We changed our name from G.W. Medical to more accurately reflect the wide range of resources we offer. Our products are used by many other professions outside of the medical field, including law enforcement, criminal justice, social services, and education. STM (which stands for “scientific, technical, medical”) Learning better captures the diversity of products we offer consumers.
Q. What credit cards do you accept?
A. We accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover for product orders.
Q. Do you accept Purchase Orders?
A. Yes. The simplest way to use a PO is to email it to firstname.lastname@example.org, fax it to 314.993.2281, or mail it to the STM Learning office at 8045 Big Bend Blvd., Suite 202, Saint Louis, MO 63119-2714.
Q. When and how will I receive my books once I order them?
A. All orders within the continental United States are shipped via ground carrier, unless you request a different method. Orders for in-stock items are usually shipped the next business day. Transit time from St. Louis is approximately 2 to 5 business days. Orders can be shipped Next Day Air or Second Day Air for an additional shipping charge. International orders will be shipped via US Postal Service, unless otherwise requested.
Q. What is the shipping cost outside of the continental United States?
A. Shipping costs outside of the continental United States vary. Shipping estimates will be included in your final purchase price when you place an online order.
Q. How can I obtain a printed catalog?

Q. Can I purchase some of your child maltreatment and abuse images?
A. If you are interested in purchasing STM Learning photographs, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Q. What is your return policy?
A. You may return a book within 30 days of purchase, provided it is in like-new condition. Opened CD-ROMs may be exchanged for the same title if they are defective. Please call us at 1.800.600.0330 before returning an item to ensure that we process your return quickly and correctly.

Q. Who can be an affiliate?
A. Child advocacy groups, bookstores, distributors of educational or medical products, and other industry-related groups and organizations can sign up to be an affiliate with STM Learning. We will review all affiliate requests before authorizing approval. Please visit the Affiliate & Reseller Program for more information.
A. We do not sell our customers' information to third parties. Your information will be used solely for the purpose of processing your order and to occasionally inform you of new products from STM Learning.
Q. How do I request permission to use STM Learning materials?
A. To request permissions, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Q. If I place an order for a product that has not been published yet, will it be charged to my credit card now or when the title becomes available?
A. It is your choice, which way you want to handle it. If you choose to have it charged to your credit card now, you are guarantied the pre-publication price, if we charged it at time of shipping, the price might be higher.
Q. How soon can I expect delivery of a title that has not been published yet?
A. Publication dates are approximate, and cannot be predicted accurately. You may contact us and we will give you our best guess at any given time.
Q. What kind of discount can I expect if I order quantity?

Q. Will you bill me for an out of the Continental USA?
A. All orders out of the Continental USA need to be pre-paid.
Q. Will you send my books with an invoice enclosed, and I pay after I receive the book?
A. If you are an organization, hospital, or government institution we will need a Purchase Order. If your organization does not do Purchase Orders we will need a letter, written on the official stationary of the organization stating clearly what books are ordered at what price, and have it signed by a person that has the authority to make the purchase. For individuals we will need pre-payment by check or credit card.
